Job description
YMCA Heart of England are looking for a Centre Manager to join the team, at our YMCA Heart of England site in Erdington. Working on a full time, permanent basis, 37.5 hours per week and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £35,000 per annum.

YMCA Heart of England is a Christian charity providing a range of life-changing services for the local community. With a turnover of over £4m, we house over 300 young people, most of whom previously were homeless, and support them to get their lives back on track. We also care for pre-school children in our nursery and run various social enterprises to create employment and generate income for our charitable work.

With over 100 Staff and volunteers working for us and thousands of people using our many premises every year, we are an organisation committed to delivering the best possible service to our customers in line with our Christian ethos and values.

About The Centre Manager Role

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the building and team, making sure everything runs smoothly and the space is welcoming, safe and well-used.

You’ll also manage and promote conference room hires in the Coppice building, located on the same site - helping to maximise use of our facilities and bring in income through external bookings.

This is a busy, varied role where you’ll lead a team of two, work closely with internal departments and tenants, and be the main point of contact for visitors and partners. You’ll also collaborate with the Head of Community and Youth Services to drive bookings and raise the profile of our conference offer and services.
