Our client operates one of the UK's largest and most strategically significant cement plants. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven Plant Manager or senior operations leader to take a key leadership role at a site undergoing major investment in decarbonisation and sustainability - establishing it as one of the most advanced facilities in the sector. The successful candidate will lead site operations, engineering and people development with full accountability for safety, performance and long-term strategic growth.

The Role :
  • Lead a multidisciplinary leadership team across production, engineering, and technical functions.
  • Drive operational excellence, safety and environmental compliance in a continuous process environment.
  • Optimise production capability, efficiency and cost management through data‑driven, lean principles.
  • Deliver transformation and cultural change to achieve world‑class reliability and OEE.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders on decarbonisation and carbon capture projects.
  • Represent the business externally, building relationships with regulators, local community and industry bodies.
The Ideal Candidate :
  • Proven track record as a Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or Senior Production / Engineering Manager in the cement sector.
  • Degree educated in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Experience leading large‑scale industrial operations (100+ FTE) in a unionised environment.
  • Strategic and hands‑on leadership capability with excellent people engagement and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen, budgetary and project management skills.
  • Culturally adaptable with the ability to integrate into a UK leadership team.
