CDD Analyst

We are looking for an CDD Analyst to be part of our APAC CDD team to support our regional growth. You will be based in Singapore working closely with Sales, Account Management, Compliance, Risk, Regulatory and Finance.

In this role you will be responsible for reviewing potential, new and existing merchants from a risk, regulatory and compliance perspective. As a highly regulated company we need to adhere to various rules and regulations and make sure we grow our business with a healthy portfolio of merchants. Part of

this role is also to work on projects that help us facilitate our growth by scaling internal processes, focus on continuous optimization and automation.

What you’ll do

  • Conducting due diligence checks via gathering and analyzing the information on new merchant applications
  • Perform risk assessments for prospective, new and existing merchants based on provided/gathered information.
  • Drive and own process optimization projects along with your colleagues on compliance, product or commercial oriented focus areas, and help evaluate existing procedures to refine and optimize the merchant on-boarding process
  • Provide advice and assistance to internal stakeholders on KYC matters related to new and existing merchants, with special attention to the Japan market
  • Evaluate existing procedures to refine and optimize the end to end merchant on-boarding process
  • Setup processes, monitor and execute checks related to merchant on-boarding
  • Ensuring compliance with CDD/EDD regulations and internal policies

Who you are

  • 6 years of prior experience in a risk or compliance related domain
  • You have a firm grasp and understanding of risk mitigation and Internal Controls related to CDD, EDD and AML/ CFT
  • You’re comfortable navigating both project management and detailed operational work , from stakeholder collaboration to taking ownership of merchant onboarding
  • You have good communication and relationship-building skills, and can work cross-functionally across operations, commercial, product and compliance teams
  • You have prior experience in collaborating with globally distributed, multicultural teams, with a deep understanding of cultural nuances
  • You’re a strong collaborator who is proactive, structured, and able to independently manage multiple work streams
  • Knowledge of Japanese is essential, as the role involves supporting engagement with Japanese-speaking stakeholders and reviewing documents
