Job summary

A major operator of critical infrastructure is seeking an experienced Cathodic Protection Engineer to serve as the technical authority for cathodic protection across the UK. This home-based role involves regular travel to sites nationwide. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical experience in cathodic protection, a sound understanding of relevant standards, and certification is preferred. The package includes an annual bonus and a company vehicle, making it a compelling offer for the right candidate.

Skills

Proven experience in a senior / technical authority CP role
Strong knowledge of CP design, monitoring, troubleshooting, and auditing
Experience with buried pipelines, tanks, and infrastructure assets
Solid understanding of UK and international CP standards (BS EN, ISO, etc.)
BINDT and/or AMPP (NACE) Cathodic Protection certification
Confident producing technical reports, reviews, and recommendations
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide

Cathodic Protection Engineer – Technical Authority (Home Based, UK Wide Travel)

Our client is a major operator of critical national infrastructure and is seeking an experienced Cathodic Protection Engineer to act as the technical authority for cathodic protection across their UK asset base. This is a home-based role with regular travel to sites nationwide.

The Role:

You will provide subject matter expertise for cathodic protection, setting standards, reviewing designs and surveys, ensuring compliance with legislation and industry best practice, and supporting asset integrity and safety performance across multiple asset types.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in a senior / technical authority CP role
  • Strong knowledge of CP design, monitoring, troubleshooting, and auditing
  • Experience with buried pipelines, tanks, and infrastructure assets
  • Solid understanding of UK and international CP standards (BS EN, ISO, etc.)
