A prestigious educational institution in Thatcham is seeking a Catering Team Leader to manage the catering operation, ensuring high-quality food and excellent service for students and staff. The role requires previous catering experience for large groups, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to food hygiene. Work involves supervising a team, running events, and delivering meals daily in a vibrant school environment. This position operates 40 hours per week with flexible shifts, including weekends.
Required 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Working Monday – Sunday, 5 over 7, to include 1 day at the weekend. Hours alternate weekly between 6.30am-3pm and 12-8.30pm.
Downe House is a leading independent boarding and day school for girls based in Cold Ash, Berkshire. We operate an in-house fully catered service for pupils and staff which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. In addition, we hold numerous catered events and formal dinners through the year.
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking Catering Team Leader to join our team. You will be passionate about delivering delicious food and a great dining experience to our school community. The Catering Team Leader be an integral member of our catering team, assisting the Catering & Events Manger in the day to day running of the catering operation. You will have previous experience of working in a similar role catering for large numbers, a passion for food and customer service, and an understanding of food hygiene requirements.
