A leading insurance provider is seeking a Category Manager to oversee the Claims Procurement and Outsourcing team. This role can be based in Leeds or Chelmsford. You will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring best value in contracts. Responsibilities

  • Support development and delivery of Claims Procurement strategy.
  • Manage selection and performance of Claims Motor suppliers.
  • Negotiate costs and terms to maximise benefits.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving purchase strategies.
  • Provide tender management support.
  • Foster continuous improvement culture within the team.

Skills

In depth knowledge of procurement process, tools and techniques
Proven track record of cost savings
Expert knowledge of Motor and ancillary services procurement
Relationship Management
Strong commercial acuity
Good negotiation skills
Financial and budgetary management skills
Ability to analyse detailed financial information
Ability to understand complex specifications
Strong Leadership and staff engagement skills

Education

Working toward or CIPS qualified (or equivalent)
