Job summary

A leading procurement company in Leicester is seeking a proactive Category Buyer to join their collaborative team. In this role, you will manage category strategies and supplier relationships while negotiating contracts and seeking cost-saving opportunities. Ideal candidates will have solid purchasing experience, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This is a fully on-site position with a 12-month contract, likely to be extended.

The Role

You’ll be at the heart of indirect procurement—one day coordinating the refurbishment of a canteen, the next sourcing paint for a new project. You’ll manage category strategies, negotiate contracts, maintain supplier relationships, and identify opportunities for cost savings, inventory efficiency, and quality improvements.

What You’ll Be Doing
