Housing Support Worker

Contract: Casual - ADHOC Shifts

Location: Whitley Bay

Hours: Various

Rate: £12.60paye HA - £14.12 HP

Ashberry Recruitment are currently looking for Casual Housing Support Workers to work in the Whitley Bay area, on an ongoing basis.

As a Housing Support Worker, you will be providing resettlement support to clients within a hostel environment.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out client needs and risk assessment for all referrals
  • Support tenants through individual resettlement support plans
  • Ensure clients comply with their tenancy agreement
  • Support clients with welfare rights, budgeting, employment, education and training
  • Develop links with the local community
  • Ensure communication systems are accurately maintained and up-to-date
  • Maintain Health and Safety incident and accident records
  • Work within agreed organisation policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Experience of working in supported housing essential
  • Experience working with Domestic Violence and Mental Health client groups
  • Enhanced DBS Check
  • Proven track record of providing information, advice and guidance to clients
  • Basic IT suitable for an office environment
  • Knowledge of basic housing management tasks (rent collection, tenancy agreements and arrears management)
