Casual Fire Fighting Instructor

Based at Warsash Maritime Academy- Hampshire

Zero-hour contract

£15.13 per hour plus benefits

Serco are recruiting for Casual Fire Fighting Instructors to join the team based at Warsash Maritime Academy to assist in the delivery of high-quality courses to the Maritime and offshore industries.

This opportunity is offered as a zero-hour contract and will require the candidate to work demonstrate flexibility to work within contract when required.

Main Accountabilities
  • Adhere to Warsash Maritime Academy\'s (WMA) quality assurance procedures.
  • Carrying out instructional duties on firefighting courses organised by WMA, including practical demonstrations and exercises, at all times ensuring that standards of training are in accordance with the specific company, national of international guidelines.
  • Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of staff/students, in accordance with WMA Fire School safety procedures. This is to include the rendering of immediate first aid should this become necessary.
  • Carrying out support services in connection with the functions of the Fire School. This may include the care and maintenance of premises and equipment.
  • As required undertaking the assessment of individual students or groups of students in accordance with the relevant standards.
  • Undertaking such personal development as may be required by WMA for the efficient delivery of courses.
  • Carrying out administrative or any other duties by agreement as required.
