Casual Clerical Assistant - Secondary

Locations: Various locations within Dumfries & Galloway

Salary: £13.28 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking well-motivated and organized individuals to join our casual Clerical Assistant - Secondary staff pool. You will work as needed in various schools, with casual staff being contacted by schools to cover specific hours and locations.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Educated to SCQF Level 5 (e.g., Standard Grade) or equivalent in relevant subjects, with qualifications to be presented at interview.
  • Experience in dealing with the public and/or children, and experience working in an office environment are desirable.
  • Proficiency in PC work and good knowledge of office systems and equipment are required.
  • Flexibility, a pleasant manner, interpersonal skills, and understanding of confidentiality are essential.
  • Knowledge of Financial Record Keeping and procedures is desirable.
Additional Information

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check before a formal offer is made.

Applicants previously resident outside the UK within the last 5 years will need to provide a police record check from the relevant authorities in their country of residence.
