About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our CASS Oversight team, Hargreaves Lansdown's specialist team that oversees our arrangements for protecting our clients' money and investments. You will support the Senior CASS Oversight Manager to manage the CASS and Safeguarding Oversight function on a day to day basis.

This role is open on a full-time or part-time basis.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee and strengthen our CASS control environment by working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business.
• Support the development and operation of effective CASS governance and oversight frameworks and activities to monitor the operational effectiveness of the systems and controls.
• Partner with stakeholders and teams across the business to ensure that CASS and Safeguarding impacting change activities (including major strategic initiatives) are handled in a compliant manner, including helping to develop solutions that improve client, business and colleague outcomes.
• Support the development and operation of an effective risk and control environment within the CASS Oversight function, ensuring that risks are managed, processes and controls are designed effectively and operated by team members in accordance with documented policies and procedures.
• Support clear career progression and development opportunities in the team to maximise colleague engagement and retention.
• Deputise for the Senior CASS Oversight Manager when required.

About you

• Good understanding of CASS regulations and the ability to analyse and understand the CASS and Safeguarding implications of existing arrangements and any proposed changes.
• Proficient in identifying, assessing and managing risks associated with client assets, including the ability to design and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Experience of working within and having a thorough understanding of financial service environments.
• An effective and engaging communicator, able to present complex information in simple context to a range of stakeholders, adapting your style to suit your audience.

Interview process

This will be a two-stage interview, consisting of a technical competency based interviewed and presentation task.

Working Schedule

This is a full time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week. Location is flexible, some travel to our Bristol head office (BS1 5HL) will be required.
