Overview

Required: Working Foreman (Carpentry)

Location: Camberley

Pyramid Recruitment are looking for a working carpentry foreman for a housing development to manage a team of carpenters and maintain productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise carpentry teams, delegate tasks to crew members, and provide guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Perform carpentry work, including making and repairing windows, doors, roofs and other structures as needed. on a large housing development
  • Monitor project progress, update schedules, and work with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations, conduct site inspections, deliver toolbox talks, and ensure the proper use of safety gear.
  • Order and arrange for the delivery of materials, and manage site resources effectively.
  • Ensure all carpentry work is carried out to a high standard, in line with approved methods and specifications.
  • Track daily work production, ensure required documentation is completed, and maintain records on a tablet.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors.
  • Identify defects and issues, and instruct on remedial work where necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a skilled carpenter or joiner is essential.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Proficiency in reading project plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the team, management, and other stakeholders.
