Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience: 2 years +
  • Qualifications: Blue CSCS NVQ Level 2 in Formwork
Responsibilities
  • Use architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, shape, and layout of formwork for concrete structures.
  • Build formwork to specified dimensions; cut, shape, and join materials to create molds for poured concrete.
  • Set up formwork in designated position, ensuring secure anchoring and proper alignment using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • May place and secure steel reinforcement bars (rebar) within the formwork before pouring concrete.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals (concrete workers, steel fixers, site supervisors) to ensure safe, timely, and accurate installation, pouring, and removal of formwork.
  • Dismantle formwork after concrete has cured, ensuring no damage to the hardened structure.
