Job summary

A local primary school is looking for an enthusiastic part-time caretaker to manage the maintenance and cleanliness of its premises. Responsibilities include representing the school during contractor interactions and participating in repairs. The ideal candidate will have general DIY experience and a flexible, problem-solving approach. This role offers 15 hours per week during term time with occasional hours in the holidays.

Qualifications

  • Experience of and aptitude for general DIY, general maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, painting, carpentry and grounds maintenance.
  • Ability to use initiative, work to deadlines and be flexible.

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic part time caretaker to join our fantastic team to manage the maintenance and cleanliness of the school premises and site. You will be expected to represent the school when dealing with contractors and suppliers and be involved in the repair and upkeep of the premises.

Hours

15 hours per week, working pattern to be agreed. Term time only plus occasional hours in holidays.
