A community care organization in Northern Ireland seeks a dedicated Caretaker/Groundskeeper to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of facilities. Responsibilities include monitoring premises, conducting inspections, and coordinating repairs. The ideal candidate should be reliable with strong communication skills. Physical stamina is required for tasks in all weather conditions. The position offers up to 25 hours per week with flexible hours based on approval from a Work Coach.
THE EMPLOYER IS: ARDMONAGH COMMUNITY & FAMILY GROUP LTDThe Caretaker/Groundskeeper is responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness, maintenance and smooth operation of both indoor and outdoor areas of the property. They will work closely with management to ensure a high standard of care and maintenance is upheld. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker/Groundskeeper to maintain the grounds, facilities, indoor and outdoor spaces of the premises, to ensure the safety and security of our premises, assets, staff, service users and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a passion for creating and maintaining safe and aesthetically pleasing environments. They will be vigilant and proactive to security, opening and closing the building, and testing and maintaining fire safety and alarm systems. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond swiftly to incidents and excellent communication skills.The caretaker/groundskeeper will work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in adverse weather conditions. The role may require lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, standing for long periods, and performing other physically demanding tasks. The caretaker may be required to be on call for emergency security and maintenance issues outside of regular working hours. All staff will be subject to and completed/apply for Access NI checks.
