Caretaker / Handyman - Temp role

Location: Rotherwas Industrial Estate, Hereford

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 3:30pm and Friday 7:30am – 3pm

Salary: £13.50 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a temporary Caretaker to join a busy manufacturing environment based on the Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford. This role offers a great mix of facilities upkeep and hands‑on support within the production area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste removal.
  • Undertake minor repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and other basic maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor buildings, outdoor areas, and equipment, reporting any issues requiring specialist repair.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Perform manual handling duties as required.
  • Keep all units tidy, maintain clear walkways and fire exits, and ensure external areas remain neat and free of debris.
  • Assist with testing and assembly tasks within the production area.
  • Support welding and fabrication operations, including use of the band saw.
  • Passivate finished goods when required.
  • Provide support to the stores team with deliveries and collections, particularly during busy periods or staff absence.
Qualifications
