RE: Careers & Work Experience Coordinator

We are seeking to appoint a highly capable, proactive and dynamic Careers & Work Experience Coordinator to take on this highly valued role within the school. We are committed to supporting every student’s journey beyond the classroom. You will play a pivotal role in preparing students for the world of work by coordinating high quality careers advice, work placements and work experience activities for students across a variety of curriculum areas, including as part of the post-16 study program. This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone with prior experience working in either a business or school environment – we are looking for someone who is passionate about helping our young people gain real-world experience and kick start their careers.

You’ll be part of a dynamic, inclusive team that values innovation, collaboration, and the power of meaningful work experience in transforming futures. The successful candidate will be working alongside the Assistant Head i/c Personal Development, our Independent Careers Advisor and the wider Pastoral Leadership Teams. The 20-24 hours per week can be worked flexibly across 3, 4 or 5 days to suit individual needs. Some remote working is possible, however, it is a student facing role and as such a minimum of 15 hours a week in school is required. The successful candidate will be able to flex their hours when we have careers evening events so that they can fully realise their role. Pay Scale: PS5 FTE £27,634 - £29,604, (actual £13,207 - £16,979 based on the pro-rata hours)
