A leading educational institution in the UK is seeking a Careers and Employability Advisor for a fixed term contract. The role involves delivering personalized careers guidance, coordinating employability activities, and supporting a diverse community of learners. Ideal candidates will hold a Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance and possess strong communication skills. Careers and Employability Advisor – fixed term contract from October 2025 to July 2026. Available at Angel Centre and Kings Cross Centre. In this role you will collaborate with the EEC Manager, curriculum teams and external partners to design and deliver a careers programme that meets the Matrix Standard and Gatsby Benchmarks. You will deliver one‑to‑one guidance, targeted group sessions, careers fairs, employer masterclasses and university visits. You will help learners build the skills and confidence they need for the workplace while championing widening participation.
Ideally you hold a Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance (or equivalent), or you are working towards Level 6, and you have experience working in a similar educational setting. You are a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with students from a range of backgrounds.
A clear understanding of post‑18 pathways, including UCAS, apprenticeships and vocational routes is essential. You will be able to engage with groups of students, deliver in classroom settings and represent the service to employers, universities and other stakeholders.
