Furness College is looking for a Careers Advisor to join their Student Services team. The role involves providing guidance to students on study and career choices. The ideal candidate will possess a Level 4 qualification in Information, Advice, and Guidance and have experience in education. This permanent position is based at both Channelside and Sixth Form campuses.
Located on the edge of the Lake District National Park, Furness College is a vibrant, innovative, and fast-paced FE College, benefiting from strong partnerships with local employers and universities. We offer an extensive range of courses with a particular emphasis on technical learning, apprenticeships, and Higher Education, in addition to the broadest A’ level offer in Cumbria.
We are seeking a Careers Advisor to join our Student Services team. This role involves providing effective, impartial information, advice, and guidance to all students and potential students regarding study and career choices. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant Level 4 qualification in Information, Advice, and Guidance and have experience working in an educational environment. We are looking for a positive, approachable team player who can work under pressure and confidently represent the department and college when engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
This position is based at both our Channelside and Sixth Form campuses as required. Specific tasks are detailed in the attached job description.
