Our Care Support Workers (CSW) play a vital role in delivering high-quality person-centred care to our patients. If you are kind, compassionate and always act in the best interest of others we would like to hear from you.

You do not need any experience in the care sector, but we ask that you have a realistic understanding of what the job involves. We therefore encourage you to read the attached job description and person specification, we also highly recommend you attend our Taster sessions either online or in person.

Patients who are being looked after on our wards need care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This means most of our posts will have shift patterns that cover days, nights, bank holidays and weekends. Where possible we will consider flexible hours and working patterns.

Main duties of the job

You will be an essential part of the nursing team, working under the supervision of Registered Nurses. You will also work alongside other healthcare professionals and support workers to provide a positive experience to our patients and their relatives at times of need.

You will need to be the kind of person who puts their patients first and provides the best care possible to every patient every day.

You will support patients in various ways such as:

  • Washing and dressing
  • Toileting
  • Bedmaking
  • Assisting with nutrition and hydration
  • Helping people to mobilise
  • Assisting with patients' overall comfort
  • Providing encouragement to lifestyle and behaviour changes
  • IT skills to complete relevant documentation
