Overview

Are you an experienced Care Home Chef with excellent knowledge of textured diets and allergens? We want to hear from you. Our client, in Glasgow, is looking for exceptional chefs to deliver delicious, healthy meals to residents while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

• Organise and prepare meals ensuring that all are balanced and nutritious and adhere to dietary requirements
• Comply with industry food hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Cleaning and washing up after meals and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the kitchen
• Ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and up to date
• Ensure all food and other items are stored correctly
• Ensure the cooking and serving of meals are in accordance with the menu

About you

• Proven record in a care home setting is mandatory
• Must be able to supply an up to date food safety level 2 or 3 certificate
• PVG membership number must be provided for renewal
• Candidates must be able to cope with all resident dietary requirements and maintain professionalism at all times

Compensation and hours

Your rate of pay will start at £16 per hour (this can go up to £20 per) and will be paid to you on a weekly basis. Your holiday pay will be accrued on top of your hourly rate.
