Overview

Avery Healthcare is one of the UK's largest providers of luxury elderly care homes, with over 100 homes across the country. They are seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant in Purley to join their award-winning team.

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver high standards of personal care and support to residents.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene while maintaining dignity and independence.
  • Recognise and address clinical risk areas (e.g., weight loss, pressure ulcers, risk of falls, signs of infection) and escalate identified risks promptly.
  • Communicate courteously with residents and visitors and respect individuality.
  • Follow safe systems of work across tasks.
About the role

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to support the care team and ensure continuity of services to residents. Avery offers a thorough induction and training program to build confidence in the role. Shift details: 06:45 AM to 7:15 PM.

About you

We value caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable individuals. Experience is not required as full induction and training are provided. The ideal candidate should:

  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate initiative and respect for residents and colleagues.
  • Be an efficient worker able to follow instructions from the team.
  • Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
Requirements
  • DBS Disclosure check, cost borne by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
