Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in our small lodges (6 or 7 clients) ensuring their comfort and well-being.

This role is lone working and requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

There are three shifts a day which run 9am to 3pm, 3pm to 9pm and 9pm to 9am (these are subject to change dependant on client need.) Night shifts are paid at set rate of £146.64. This position is lone working.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Support clients in maintaining their independence while providing companionship and emotional support.
  • Follow individual care plans meticulously to ensure that each client's specific needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client status and any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
  • Cook, clean, and provide home-style laundry services as required.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in care practices.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in home care or a care home environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and using care management software.
  • A genuine passion for providing excellent care and support to individuals in need is essential.
