Cardiovascular Quality Specialist Position Summary

The Cardiovascular Quality Specialist is a registered nurse who is a member of the cardiovascular service line. They have a hospital focus on the team that is responsible for driving quality matrixes, quality improvement initiatives, along with department leads, and overall leadership for the completion and compliance with regulatory requirements set forth by the State of Maryland and national accreditation organizations. The specialist promotes a quality environment among all the hospital departments operational efficiency by leading teams with oversight by Performance Improvement and existing Shared Leadership Team. The regulatory requirements are set forth by the Maryland Healthcare Commission and the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS).

Cardiovascular Quality Specialist Position Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
  • Master’s degree preferred or will be completed within three (3) years from date of hire.

Certification/Licensure:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in state of residency.
  • Completion of Lean/DMAIC project leader training, Green Belt or equivalent within the first 12 months of hire into position.
  • Advanced certification in related field.

Experience:

  • At least five (5) years as a staff nurse in acute care setting, focus in cardiovascular disease.
  • Project management experience preferred and lead in program/service development.
  • Two (2) years of performance improvement experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications.
  • Experience using data analytics tools (Minitab, SPSS or equivalent program).

Schedule:

  • Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday
  • May have to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
Cardiovascular Quality Specialist Benefits

At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.

Salary range: $83,428.80 - $133,494.40 Commensurate with experience
