Qualifications

• Current Acute Registered Nurse with the NMC.
• Degree or Masters in Nurse related specialty or working towards.
• Experience of working in an acute hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of patient care.
• Work closely with the department/ward manager and multi-disciplinary team.
• Carry out all relevant forms of care under supervision.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Interpersonal skills

Competent in the administration of intravenous medication

ECG recording and interpretation

Venepuncture and cannulation

Knowledge of patient administration systems (e.g., ICE, IPM, EPMA, Nervecenter)

Education

Current Acute Registered Nurse with the NMC

Degree or Masters in Nurse related specialty or working towards

SLIP/Practical Assessor /Supervisor or teaching qualification
