A regional healthcare provider is seeking a Cancer MDT Coordinator to join their Cancer Services team in Carlisle. This essential role focuses on coordinating the cancer treatment pathway, ensuring that patients receive timely diagnostic and treatment steps. Candidates must possess strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and relevant qualifications, such as GCSEs and an NVQ in administration. This is a permanent position with flexible hours, offering a salary between £27,485 and £30,162, commensurate with experience.
Cancer MDT Co-ordinator/Cancer Pathway Tracker. Band 4 - 3x 37.5 hours per week posts available (Part time considered) – Parkhouse
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cancer Services team at North Cumbria Integrated Care as a MDT Coordinator. The MDT Coordinator is an essential part of the whole team providing high quality and prompt care to cancer patients.
The individual is responsible for the smooth running and efficiency of the MDT meetings; including preparation for meetings, tracking and chasing up on progress of cancer patients' diagnostic and treatment steps, timely and accurate collection of cancer data, and ensuring outcomes are followed up after MDT meetings.
We are looking for an individual who is organised, has attention to detail, good inter‑personal and communication skills, and is enthusiastic and proactive in their approach to work.
This role is crucial in the tracking and management of all patients who are on suspected cancer pathways within the relevant disease site. The post-holder must be able to work independently and follow the policies and procedures for the department. The post-holder will be expected to use their own initiative and keep their line manager and senior colleagues informed.
This is a role with lots of variety and ad hoc demands and the post-holder must possess excellent time management and planning skills.
