Campaigns and Policy Assistant
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Vegan Society in our Campaigns, Policy and Research Department as a Campaigns & Policy Assistant. The role is full-time, on a permanent basis and hybrid. You will receive a competitive starting salary of £27,694 - £29,064 per annum, depending on experience.
The post holder will be part of a team that plays a vital role in shaping public discourse and policy through rigorous research and strategic campaigning.
We are seeking a Campaigns and Policy Assistant whose role is predominantly focused on public-facing campaigning. Around 80% of this position will involve supporting the development and delivery of campaigns aimed at engaging external audiences including the general public, businesses, and supporters, through accessible messaging, content, and outreach activities. The remaining time will involve providing some support with policy research and briefings. This is an ideal role for someone excited by communicating ideas to wider public audiences, mobilising public support, and helping shape campaigns that resonate beyond policy.
The post holder will need to be fully committed to vegan principles and alignment with The Vegan Societys values. This will be a hybrid working role with occasional attendance at meetings and staff events across the UK and the main offices in Birmingham. The postholder will also have the opportunity to represent The Vegan Society (TVS) at events nationwide.
