Qualifications

  • Own and be fully accountable for all calibration.
  • Ensure all inspection equipment complies with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Raise and propose the purchase of new inspection equipment.

Overview

Job Description: Calibration Engineer opportunity within a market-leading high precision engineering company in the United Kingdom and worldwide. Location: commutable from Derby, Nottingham, Leicester and Tamworth. The role is on a double day shift.

  • Double day shift (0600-1400 Monday – Thursday and 0600-1230 Friday; Afternoons 1400-2400 Monday- Wednesday and 1400-2230 Thursday with Fridays off on the Afternoons week)

Key Duties
  • Embrace all the Company’s core values.
  • Own and be fully accountable for all calibration.
  • Have a good knowledge of all inspection processes and inspection capabilities.
  • Ensure all inspection equipment is fully up to date to comply with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Work with the purchasing department to ensure all externally calibrated items are dealt with quickly, efficiently and within the financial budget.
  • Raise and propose the purchase of new replacement inspection equipment when current items are not fit for purpose.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Minimum Engineering Apprentice trained NVQ3
  • Proficiency in using calibration equipment and understanding measurement standards
  • Experience in calibration labs, testing, or related sectors is valuable
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Experience with calibration development tools and software is beneficial
