Overview

CAD Technician Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 Depending On Experience

Benefits: Annual pay review, progression opportunities and friendly and supportive working environment.

CAD Technician Shifts - Onsite only, no hybrid options available.

Monday - Friday - Core hours 09:00 - 17:30 - This can be flexible.

Orion is partnered with a well-established domestic architectural company located in Leighton Buzzard which is recruiting for an experienced CAD Technician. The company provides architectural services & technical drawings, so applicants will need to have a strong background in CAD design and have knowledge of the industry.

The ideal candidate will also have strong communication skills and be comfortable liaising with customers, third-party specialists and governing bodies.

Candidates must have a full UK drivers licence and have access to a car as the role involves driving to site to complete surveys.

Responsibilities

• Design panel boards/switchgear using AutoCAD
• Design circuits from scratch
• Modify existing designs
• Customer support/liaison
• Cradle to grave project management
• Communication with customers to establish project scope.
• Technical measured survey of existing site and buildings.
• Translating the project proposal from concept into a 3D AutoCAD model.
• Liaising with 3rd party specialists to achieve engineered solutions.
• The preparation and submission of drawings for Planning Permission and Building Regulations.
• Lising with local councils to get planning approval

Competencies / Qualifications

• Must have a full UK drivers license and access to own car

• A general understanding of domestic architecture & house building.

• A strong understanding of Microsoft Office and Windows 10
