A leading manufacturing company in South Oxfordshire is seeking a buyer/purchaser to join the purchasing team. This office-based role entails sourcing materials, negotiating prices, and ensuring supplier performance. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience with MRP systems, strong communication skills, and a willingness to obtain a Purchasing qualification. A leading manufacturing company in South Oxfordshire is looking for a buyer / purchaser to work with the purchasing team to ensure all direct and indirect materials are available on time and purchased at the most cost-effective price. Ensure your allocated suppliers are performing to agreed KPI. Your success will ultimately be judged on how well suppliers perform and the contribution to the business bottom line, through pricing and availability of material.
You need to have good people skills with a strong business acumen and an analytical approach to a decision. An effective Communicator and problem solver and calmness in a crisis. This is NOT a hybrid role, 100% office based, and you need to have your own transport to get to the location in South Oxfordshire. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 4.30pm, competitive salary depending on experience, 23 days holiday, a yearly bonus, Bupa Healthcare and contributed Pension along with plenty of free parking.
