Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Buyer (Manufacturing), located in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom. The Buyer (Manufacturing) will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing chemicals, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Other responsibilities include analysing market trends, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards, and collaborating with internal teams to meet production needs.

Qualifications
  • Experience in sourcing and purchasing chemicals and raw materials - supporting the Procurement Manager)
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Proficiency in managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely delivery
  • Ability to analyse market trends and make informed purchasing decisions
  • Understanding of environmental and safety compliance standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Experience in the chemical industry is a plus
  • CIPS L4+ (an advantage but not essential)
