Overview

Our client a leading company are currently looking to recruit a Buyer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to join a hugely successful business and join a busy purchasing department.

Main Responsibilities

• Negotiating prices for materials and parts
• Agreeing lead times with suppliers
• Developing excellent working relationships with suppliers
• Monitor stock levels to prevent stock shortages
• Attend weekly production meetings and provide update on purchased part status
• Produce procurement reports for management
• Managing call of orders with suppliers
• Other relevant ad hoc duties

The successful candidate will have

• A minimum of 2 years (+) working in purchasing
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Ability to work both alone and alongside a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Working knowledge of MRP / ERP systems (Desirable)
