Overview

Job Title: Buyer

Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday – Office Based

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

The Procurement and Supply Chain division at SF recruitment are recruiting for a Buyer to join their client based in Loughborough. You will be part of a hard working and fast paced procurement team and report directly into the Procurement Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Supplier management - negotiating costs, lead times, rebates and managing service agreements.
  • Attending regular meetings with new and existing suppliers to minimise supply chain risks and identify areas of improvements.
  • Placing orders manually and on an ERP system.
  • Ensuring all goods are delivered to the highest quality - investigating any damaged/delayed goods.
  • Category management
  • Carrying out regular market research to ensure you have the in demand products available to provide to your key customers.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience in a Buyer or Category Management role, or looking to step up in procurement.
  • Confident with sourcing and processing orders.
  • Ability to build rapport at all levels through effective communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with suppliers.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining accurate stock levels.
  • IT systems including Excel and internal ERP software.
