A leading house builder based in Liverpool is seeking a Regional Buyer to join their team. The successful candidate will manage material scheduling and purchasing functions for new site starts and ensure timely delivery of materials. You should have a construction-related qualification and a proven track record in a similar role. Competitive salary up to 55,000 plus a 5,500 car allowance is offered.

Regional Buyer - Liverpool

Location: Liverpool  Salary: Up to 55,000 + 5,500 Car Allowance

A leading house builder is looking for a Buyer to join their team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a professional and efficient material scheduling and purchasing function for the north-west region.

Responsibilities
  • Provide material budgets for new site starts.
  • Place bulk and ad-hoc material orders.
  • Resolve supplier issues and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Produce accurate material take-offs and schedules.
  • Maintain a database of material schedules and costs.
  • Procure materials and place orders in line with company procedures.
  • Contribute to enhancing regional profits by tracking material costs.
  • Prepare and contribute to cost reports.
  • Build and maintain excellent supplier relationships.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds a construction-related qualification (ONC/HNC).
  • Is working towards a professional procurement qualification.
  • Has a flexible and agile approach.
  • Is skilled in relationship building and stakeholder engagement.
  • Is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and solutions-focused.
  • Has an excellent level of numeracy and communication skills.
  • Is computer literate in MS Office.
  • Can read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Has a proven track record in a similar role.
