Based near Dartford | Full-Time On-Site | £40-45K Salary

Are you an experienced Buyer with a strong understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, looking to take your career to the next level within a fast-paced business?

Compensation & Benefits

£40,000 to £45,000/annum depending on your experience, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays rising to 25 days + 8 Bank Holiday with service, Bupa, DIS and Company Pension.

Monday to Friday 37.5 hours/week with either 8-4pm or 9-5pm.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with manufacturing needs.
  • Source and manage suppliers for raw materials, components, and equipment, focusing on quality, cost, lead times, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to drive savings while maintaining quality and supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, QA, finance, and logistics to align purchasing with operational requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any supply or quality issues.
  • Maintain procurement records, generate reports, and ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Support continuous improvement to optimise inventory and reduce costs.
  • Contribute to supply chain reconciliation and forward planning based on current run rates.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of procurement experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably within a small medium enterprise environment.
  • Strong communicator with negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics.
  • Proficiency with procurement and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Reviso is desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements relevant to manufacturing.
  • Demonstrable experience in import and export is desirable.
