At Daniel Watney LLP, we’re looking for a Business Rates Surveyor to join our expanding rating team. With a reputation for trusted advice across property sectors, we’re entering a new phase of growth and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and support rating appeals, valuations, and negotiations with the VOA
  • Advise clients on strategies to minimise business rates liabilities
  • Prepare clear, accurate evidence, reports, and calculations
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, authorities, and colleagues
  • Stay ahead of rating legislation and industry changes
  • Contribute to pitches, presentations, and business development activity
Qualifications
  • MRICS, IRRV (Hons), or RSA qualified (or working towards)
  • 1-3 years PQE (or newly qualified) with exposure to business rates
  • Solid understanding of rating principles and VOA procedures
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Organised, detail-focused, and eager to grow in a fast-paced team
  • Interest in developing towards representation and leadership responsibility
