WE Talent are working with a major UK organisation who are seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to lead a new Central Business Support team. This role is key to driving efficiency, consistency and scalability across sales support services, enabling commercial teams to focus on value-adding activity.

You’ll manage a regionally aligned team, oversee core operational processes, and represent the function in business-wide change and transformation initiatives.

Contract: Full-time, permanent, 4 days on-site with 1 day travel around the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and develop a centralised Business Support team.
  • Define and monitor SLAs/KPIs, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee quoting, cost book management and ERP administration.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Transport, Finance and Shared Services to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement, standardisation and digital adoption (PowerBI, SharePoint etc.).
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to support profitability and service excellence.
  • Report on performance trends, risks and operational improvements.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong background in sales operations, business support or operational leadership.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Proven ability to lead centralised or shared service teams.
  • Skilled in reporting, data accuracy, workflow management and process improvement.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage at all levels and across functions.
  • Experience in construction materials or logistics is advantageous but not essential.
