Business Development Manager – Emergency Lighting

Job Title: Business Development Manager – Emergency Lighting Products. Area to be covered: Midlands. Remuneration: £35,000 - £45,000 (negotiable) + bonus depending on experience. Benefits: company car + benefits package.

Overview

Role involves promoting a manufactured range of emergency lighting products and developing specification opportunities within the Midlands region.

Responsibilities

• Promote a manufactured range of emergency lighting products such as exit signage, lighting products, emergency signage, and escape route lighting.
• Generate specification via consulting engineers, electrical consultants, M&E consultants, M&E contractors, housing associations, electrical contractors and local authorities.
• Develop distributor relationships via independent and national electrical wholesalers.
• Grow your own territory.
• Turnover will be determined on your experience.

Ideal candidate

• Ideally have M&E or HVAC field sales experience.
• Would consider someone working for an electrical wholesaler or building products field sales.
• Ideally have knowledge and previous experience selling technical related products such as exit signage, lighting products, emergency signage and escape route lighting; fire alarms, signage, smoke detection units, heat alarms, lighting, commercial lighting, ventilation, smoke ventilation, air conditioning, attenuation units.
• A hungry “go-getter” who is keen to develop new business.
• Strong market place knowledge.
