Business Development Manager role in a London law firm – aligned to the firm’s Private Capital, including entrepreneurs and professional services clients. London based with hybrid working.

This leading boutique law firm has a formidable reputation in several niche areas and is looking for a Business Development Manager to focus on their Private Capital client growth. This role will target clients such as family offices, entrepreneurs, media firms and professional services firms and will work across the full marketing and business development mix, as well as managing intermediary relationships. The role will also be supported by and will line manage an experienced BD Executive.

The firm is applauded for its values and culture and is a great place to work. They are open to considering this role on either a full time or part time basis of 4 / 4.5 days a week.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager role will entail :

  • Leading on marketing and business development planning and marketing budgets;
  • Identifying new business development opportunities and working with the partners to capitalise on these;
  • Coaching partners on business development and cross selling across practice groups;
  • Advising and capitalising on intermediary referral relationships;
  • Identifying and maximising strategic sponsorships;
  • Managing sector specific marketing campaigns and other profile raising initiatives;
  • Monitoring and developing the sector group’s key accounts;
  • Project managing the pitch process ranging from large panel pitches to one off RFPs, with the support on a Senior Pitch Manager.

The candidate will be an established Business Development Manager and must have experience working in a law firm. Ideally, the firm is looking for somebody with exposure to Corporate M&A or relevant clients. Line management experience is essential.
