Business Development Manager
Our US law firm client is seeking a new highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join their London office on a permanent basis.
- Salary to £95,000 + exceptional employee benefits
- 09:30-17:30 working hours
- Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote)
You will act as the primary point of contact for the firm’s Corporate, Litigation and Project Finance teams, consisting of around 65 partners and associates.
Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities
- Support with drafting and implementing each group's marketing plan including monitor and refine plans as needed
- Managing each team's clients and prospect targeting lists, compile data and run reports for partner groups
- End-to-end support of RFP, pitches, and proposals process – producing high-quality client pitch documents and seeing them through to submission with partners and other fee-earners
- Assist in the drafting, editing, and mailing of internal newsletters, client updates, and other client communications, including marketing and business development-related correspondence on behalf of partners
- Managing and organising large-scale prestigious client events and execution of thought leadership programmes
- Writing and managing each group's annual directory/award submissions (Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR) and industry specific awards
- Conduct research on existing and prospective clients, competitor activity, and industry or market trends to aid in the development of marketing plans, presentations, and proposals
- Collaborate with other members of the global marketing and business development team to ensure the success of business development programmes, campaigns, and initiatives
Business Development Manager Skills & Requirements
- Educated at degree level with minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience within a law firm
- Strong project management and analytical capabilities
- Well-developed influencing and presentation skills, resilient and focused
- Familiarity with working with CRM systems such as InterAction, website CMS, and email marketing platforms such as Concep Campaigner a plus
- Flexibility to evolve with the position as required - including availability outside of normal working hours
