A leading timber engineering company in the UK seeks a Business Development Manager/Technical Sales professional. This hands-on, field-based role focuses on expanding business in timber engineering, including roof trusses and timber frame solutions. The ideal candidate will have proven sales experience in the sector, manage customer relationships, and contribute to the company's growth. We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager/ Technical Sales professional to grow new and existing business across our Timber Engineering division, specialising in roof trusses, engineered joists and timber frame housing solutions.
This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on generating and converting new enquiries, developing long-term customer relationships and strengthening our presence with housebuilders and builders’ merchants across small, medium and large-scale projects.
You will be expected to quickly establish credibility with customers, understand their build programmes and specifications, and position our business as a trusted, value-adding partner.
You will be proactive in networking, attending site visits and industry events, and maintaining regular contact with key decision-makers including buyers, estimators, site managers and directors.
You will be self-motivated, target-driven and comfortable managing your own territory, with the commercial awareness to identify profitable opportunities and close deals.
