An established and reputable manufacturer and supplier within the timber and sawmill sector is seeking a commercially focused Business Development Manager to join its team. This is a key role driving new business opportunities and account growth across construction, merchant, fencing, landscaping, and agricultural sectors.

This is with a leading, family-run UK business known for high-quality timber products, nationwide distribution, and long-standing customer relationships.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing sales of a wide range of timber products including sawn timber, fencing, sleepers, pallet wood, and landscaping materials by targeting builders merchants, manufacturers, contractors, and agricultural businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across targeted sectors and regions.
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts, focusing on long-term relationship building.
  • Promote a diverse product range, providing technical support and tailored solutions.
  • Conduct client visits, attend trade events, and represent the brand professionally in the market.
  • Track sales performance, report on pipeline activity, and contribute to commercial strategy.
The Ideal Candidate:
