*looking for someone to join us in January 2026*

Who we are

E1 (formerly called EstimateOne) is a SaaS tender management platform connecting commercial builders with subcontractors and suppliers. Proudly named one of AFR's Best Places to Work in 2025, we're the market leader in Australia and New Zealand - and now we're growing our 120-person team into the UK.

Our scale up vibe keeps things lively. We've come a long way in 15 years, and seeing what we've achieved in that time gets us pretty excited for the next 15. We're passionate about setting clear, fair expectations and delivering results, with a genuine commitment to wellness and happiness that you'll truly experience.

We've been recognised twice on the AFR Best Place to Work list, so we care a lot about making sure we're a place people want to work.

The Role

We're looking for a Business Development Manager to help grow E1's presence in the UK construction market.

As the BDM, you'll own the entire sales cycle - from prospecting and pipeline management to negotiation and close. You'll also help shape our UK go-to-market approach by sharing insights from the field and collaborating closely with our Product, Operations and Customer Success teams.

This role reports directly to our General Manager - GTM & Partnerships (UKI) and will join our small but growing UK team, working alongside a Senior BDM. The UK business is in a start-up phase, so we're looking for someone who's hands‑on, proactive, and energised by building from the ground up. If you like autonomy, thrive in fast‑paced environments, and enjoy seeing your impact directly influence growth, you'll fit right in.

About You

You're a confident salesperson with a consultative approach. You know how to uncover customer pain points, build trust quickly, and deliver value that sticks. You're motivated by results, but you also care about building long-term partnerships and representing a brand with integrity.

You'll bring:

  • 3+ years' experience in B2B sales or business development.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience running your own portfolio of prospects and deals from first contact to close.
  • Confidence in outbound prospecting (phone, email, LinkedIn, events).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce or HubSpot preferred).
  • Strong negotiation and objection‑handling skills.
  • A data‑driven mindset - you use metrics to guide your decisions.
  • Familiarity with the construction or construction‑tech industry (bonus, not essential).
  • Experience working in a small or start‑up environment, where you're comfortable being resourceful, adapting quickly, and making things happen without lots of structure or support in place.
Perks

There's more to working at E1 than just creating game‑changing technology for the construction industry. We know that to reach the goals we've set for ourselves, we need to look after our team, our shareholders, and the industry we serve.

Here are some of the benefits you'll enjoy:

  • Flexible working hours and hybrid working.
  • Three fully funded therapy sessions per year via Talked, with access to 100+ licensed therapists.
  • A generous annual budget for professional development.
  • Five days of entrepreneurial leave each year to work on your own side projects.
  • A yearly allowance to help you create a comfortable and productive home working setup.
