Job summary

A leading defense technology firm is seeking a Business Development Director - Central Europe to drive sales of advanced systems and services. The candidate will manage a pipeline, develop market strategies, and build relationships across various stakeholders. Qualifications

  • Must speak English and one other Central European language fluently.

Responsibilities
  • Sell company products, systems and services and manage opportunities in all stages of the sales pipeline in the European region.
  • Prospect, qualify, propose, capture, negotiate and close sales with customers.
  • Provide marketing intelligence and develop sales plans, business plans, and product development plans; communicate and execute winning market plans and capture strategies.
  • Perform competitive assessments, identify attractive solution positions, and conduct sales presentations and marketing activities (tradeshows, conferences, product demonstrations).
  • Provide updates to senior sales/operations staff concerning account concerns and financial status; manage relevant consultants, distributors, representatives and agents.
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with partners, OEMs and suppliers.
  • Report to the Business Development / Sales Director at ForceX and focus on expanding the market in Eastern Europe with the Vampire family of systems; coordinate with the L3Harris WESCAM International Business Development team (Europe) and other ForceX BD personnel.
  • Work with local consultants, distributors, representatives and agents; collaborate in a dynamic, high-tempo, agile team.
  • Spend significant time outside of the office networking and meeting with customers; travel up to 50% of the time as needed.
Qualifications
  • Highly developed professional communication skills; fluent in English and at least one other language.
  • Demonstrated networking capabilities among customer communities (MODs, MOIs, Law Enforcement, military OEMs, etc.).
  • Ability to develop long-term, trusted-advisor relationships leveraging technical, market and platform knowledge; ability to cultivate relationships remotely and in person when feasible.
  • Intimate knowledge of the regional customer base, key stakeholders and optimal route to market.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of key sensor and effector technology and its application.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and forward-leaning disposition; polished presenter with comfort engaging senior customers.
  • Education: Bachelor\'s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 7 years; or alternative experience per company policy (in lieu of a degree, 13 years of related experience).
  • Recent and relevant experience selling in National Security, Military or Intelligence domains across Air, Land and Maritime domains; 10+ years of Military or Security Sales experience, ideally with a large OEM.
  • Previous Military experience is an asset; must speak English and one other Central European language fluently (written and verbal).
