Job description

We are seeking a Business Consulting Manager – Technical Advisory Lead to manage secure data operations and compliance across our teams.

You will have a background in Aerospace or Defence to drive business in Technology Transformation consultancy services into Aerospace, Defence and Secure (ADS) clients.

If you have experience in data governance, export control, and access management within high-security environments like aerospace or defence this role offers an exciting opportunity to lead impactful work across the UK.

What you'll be doing:

  • Export Control & Compliance: Make sure data exports and transfers align with regulations and internal policies. Collaborate with legal teams to maintain documentation and uphold standards.
  • Data Repatriation & Governance: Lead the return of sensitive data from international locations, ensuring secure storage, correct metadata classification, and container management.
  • Access Control & Cyber Readiness: Coordinate access to secure networks, ensuring compliance with SC-level protocols and cyber resilience frameworks.
  • Business Analysis & Process Alignment: Analyse business needs to align with software development and data handling processes. Bridge the gap between legacy systems and evolving solutions.
  • Team & Project Leadership: Lead a small team of technical and functional experts. Deliver project plans, training materials, and documentation to support change initiatives.
  • Partner Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams and external partners including across ADS. Present risks, progress, and solutions to senior leadership.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in export control, data governance, or technical advisory within defence, aerospace, or similarly regulated environments.
  • Active SC clearance (DV preferred).
  • Good understanding of: Data container and metadata management.
  • Network access controls.
  • Cyber readiness standards.
  • Confident in project delivery and multi-functional leadership.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Ozone, Bots, or equivalent is a plus.
