Overview

IT Services business is hiring for a Business Analyst on a permanent basis for their team based in Gateshead. They operate a hybrid working scheme with 2 days per week in the office. Salary ranges between £40K - £50K, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with product owners to analyse industry and customer driven change proposals
• Produce clear and concise software specifications
• Translate business requirements into detailed specifications
• Provide advice on aspects of system design where there may be change
• Represent the customer / business to the rest of the team to help prioritise workloads
• Collaborate with the project teams on various facets of the project, specifications and design functions
• On occasion, assist with testing scenarios where in-depth input is needed
• Working with the team to grow the development of the Business Analysis Practice and promoting best practice and developing new processes in line with industry standards

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience of capturing and documenting customer requirements, creating detailed software specifications
• Microsoft Azure DevOps experience to capture requirements
• Strong MS Office skills, in particular Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Attention to detail
• Experience of working on projects simultaneously
• Solid Analytical skills with an interest in data and systems

Desirable

• Experience in Digital Transformation (Microservices)
• Experience of the SDLC in an Agile environment
• Data modelling
• Any utilities experience
