Business Administrator Apprenticeship – United Airlines

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on administrative experience in a professional setting while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll receive full training, ongoing support and a clear development pathway to help you grow both personally and professionally.

Apprenticeship Overview
  • Salary: £7.55 an hour (Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19‑year‑olds)
  • Working Week: Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm with a 30‑minute lunch break
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Duration: 16 months
  • Qualification: Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship standard
  • Training: Online training supported by a dedicated tutor
  • Location: 1 World Business Centre Heathrow Newall Road London Hounslow TW6 2FA
Key Responsibilities
  • Ordering office and health & safety supplies
  • Processing sick returns and preparing invoices
  • Assisting with analysis tasks (e.g., overtime tracking)
  • Supporting rota updates and ADP data entry
  • Maintaining electronic time and attendance records
  • Preparing and archiving documents for Relief and EFS teams
  • Assisting with annual audits including record management and archiving
  • Supporting employee events and celebrations with preparation and coordination tasks
Essential Skills and Qualities
  • Strong communication skills confident over the phone, email and face‑to‑face
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Good time management able to prioritise workload effectively

Training and Qualification

The successful candidate will obtain a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship standard qualification. Each apprentice will have a dedicated tutor who will conduct monthly remote tutorials and reviews, providing continuous support throughout the programme. Frequency of sessions may vary based on the apprentice’s needs.

Potential full‑time employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Pre‑Employment Checks

Upon a successful offer, the company completes digitalised right‑to‑work checks and DBS applications via an external provider – Matrix Screening. An internal online social media search is also completed in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.
