The Apprenticeship at Queen Square Medical Practice offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within a busy, patient‑centred care environment. Apprentices work collaboratively with the Nursing, Reception and Administration Teams to develop the practical skills essential to the smooth and efficient running of the practice.
Responsibilities
- Providing stock control and supply management for the nursing team
- Supporting day‑to‑day administrative functions
- Maintaining and stocking clinical rooms
- Assisting with general office operations and patient‑facing tasks
- Ensuring accurate record‑keeping and adherence to practice procedures

- IT skills using clinical and administrative systems – skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
- Produces accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals, makes recommendations for improvements and presents solutions to management, drafts correspondence, writes reports and reviews others’ work, maintains confidential records in compliance with procedures, coaches others.
- Exercises proactivity and good judgement, makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and deals with challenges maturely.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships within the team and across the organisation, demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately, becomes a role model and develops coaching skills.
