Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading complex, multi‑year programmes within the transport sector.
• Demonstrable experience delivering programmes through mobilisation and operational go‑live.
• Strong understanding of bus franchising legislation and governance requirements.
• Proven experience of establishing programme governance and delivery controls.
• Experience of leading and developing senior programme and project management teams.
• Track record of operating in politically sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary delivery lead for the Bus Franchising Programme.
• Lead the coordination of all programme workstreams and maintain an active programme plan.
• Establish effective delivery governance and oversee programme documentation.
• Lead and manage the Programme Delivery Team.
• Ensure proactive identification and management of programme risks and issues.
• Ensure delivery of the future bus franchising operating model.
• Enhance SYMCA's programme and project management maturity.
• Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Lead planning and delivery for transition into BAU operations.
