What you will be doing:
  • Promote the University’s contract and collaborative research, consultancy, training capabilities and partnership opportunities to external stakeholders, with emphasis on regional, national as well as international companies, the public sector including health and social care, NHS bodies and the local authorities in West Yorkshire.
  • Create and manage internal networks with academics and other staff to ensure a professional and efficient response to company enquiries.
  • Employing the team’s management methodology, manage external requests e.g. company visits, enquiries received, social media engagement, liaising with the relevant academic team(s) to ensure timely responses are provided.
  • Offer a project advisory role to teams delivering collaborative projects, sharing knowledge of appropriate procedures and processes for ensuring consistent successful and professional delivery.
Qualifications/ experience:
  • Level 6 or equivalent, or equivalent demonstrable experience in science, engineering or healthcare or related subjects
  • Demonstrable experience of business development activities
  • Experience of working in a commercially focused environment
